St George’s has been educating students from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for many years and we have been approved by the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education for funding in a wide variety of subject categories.
London is one of Europe’s most diverse cities and includes a large Muslim population. The city is home to over 400 mosques, two of which are less than 10 minutes’ walk from the University. We also have our own Islamic Student Society which represents and caters for Muslim students on campus.
Foundation Programme in Medical, Biomedical and Health Sciences
If you want to progress onto our MBBS Medicine course after the Foundation: Tawjihiyya or Thanawiyya Al’Aaama (Secondary School Certificate) or General Secondary Education Certificate with average of 85% across all subjects taken in grade 12. Maths, Biology and Chemistry must all be passed in grade 12.
If you want to progress onto our other undergraduate courses: Tawjihiyya or Thanawiyya Al’Aaama (Secondary School Certificate) or General Secondary Education Certificate with minimum of 60% in each subject taken in grade 12, with a minimum of 70% in Maths, Biology and Chemistry.
MBBS, BSc (Hons)/MSci Biomedical Science, BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography, and BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy: We do not accept direct entry from Tawjihiyya or Thanawiyya Al’Aaama (Secondary School Certificate)
Students must complete the Foundation Programme in Medical, Biomedical and Health Sciences or have another qualifying background, such as A Levels or the IB Diploma.

Postgraduate or graduate entry
All of our postgraduate/graduate entry courses require a minimum GPA of 3.5 (out of 5). The exceptions are International Graduate Medicine MBBS and Physiotherapy MSc which require a GPA of 4.5.

INTO St George's, University of London Foundation Programme in Medical, Biomedical and Health Sciences: IELTS 5.5 with 5.5 in all skills. Please note: we can only accept a UKVI approved IELTS.
All MBBS (Medicine) courses, BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science, BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography, and BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy: IELTS 7.0 with at least 7.0 in Writing and Speaking, 6.5 in Reading and Listening;
MRes Biomedical Science, MSc Sports Cardiology, MSc Applied Exercise for Health, and MSc Rehabilitation: IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each skill.
MSc Genomic Medicine: Overall 7.0 with 6.5 in Listening, Reading and Speaking. 7.0 in Writing.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Programme
Medicine and Allied Sciences is a strategic priority for the Saudi Arabian government. Programmes related to Medicine and Allied Sciences are one of three fields within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Programme. St George’s, University of London regularly receives applications from Saudi Arabian students wishing to study with the aid of a Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship.
