You must have a CAS before making an application as a Tier 4 (General) student.
A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement is an electronic document generated by us and emailed to you. It contains a unique reference number (CAS number) as well as details about your course and other information you need to complete the visa application form. It's important that the information written in your visa application is identical to that in the CAS, as any discrepancies may result in your application being refused.
It's essential that you check that all of the personal information contained in your CAS statement, such as your name and passport number, is correct. If there are any errors, it's essential that you contact us immediately.
If you're a new student, we'll only give you your CAS statement once you've received an unconditional offer from us. That's when you've met all academic and non-academic conditions attached to your offer, including returning all necessary documentation (for example, your Disclosure and Barring Service and Occupational Health forms) and, if applicable, paying your tuition fee deposit.
