CARES (Clinical and Research Enquiry Service) is a librarian-led evidence and literature searching service provided to all NHS and academic staff at St George’s.
CARES supports clinical practice, service development and management, research and teaching by providing librarian-run literature and evidence searches on your behalf.
Note to students
It is not available to students for academic purposes, including nurses on workforce development (WFD) courses. If you are a student requiring help with literature searching please visit our training page for a list of information skills training courses and resources, or contact your liaison librarian.
How the service works
The search results will comprise a list of references, with abstracts and links to full text items where available. The search strategy, including a list of resources used, will be included. The search results will not be summarised, graded or categorised in order of importance.
Your results will normally be emailed to you within 5-10 working days. If you need the results sooner than this, please contact the liaison librarian team on 020 8725 5433 to discuss your needs.
How to make a request
Completing this form as fully as possible will help us to provide you with more relevant results. However, it may also be necessary for library staff to contact you for clarification of terms or further information.
Feedback
Finally, please be aware that we occasionally follow up searches to ask how the information was used and what, if any, changes were made as a result of using this service. Your feedback is important to us and will help us to improve our service.
