The new scholarships will be offered to help part-fund those studying Clinical Pharmacology BSc. Launching in September, the course is the first of its kind at undergraduate level in the UK.

St George’s is offering six £9,000 awards for the course, which are open to those who apply for the course in the main academic cycle.

Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, Emma Baker, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer these scholarships, which will help students embark on an exciting new course and career. We look forward to choosing the first scholars from our new cohort of students.”

Previously the university has only offered postgraduate scholarships.
