Millie Pusey, 24, graduated from a medical degree at St George's on Thursday. Below, Millie discusses her initial feelings when she arrived at St George's, how she feels having graduated and her plans for the future.

“It feels like my time at St George's has been really long and really short at the same time - like I've been working for this forever but it also feels so soon.

“When I first arrived at St George's I remember being quite nervous moving into halls. Part of the reason I chose to come here was because of St George's reputation for having a strong community feel and that's definitely what I've found.

“I met some of my best friends who I'll stay in touch with through SU events. I was part of St George's boat club, and the musical society and I went to comedy nights. I'd really encourage new students coming to St George's to get involved with the SU.

“Today's been a bit strange, aside from the stress of getting family to the right place at the right time, I'm really excited to see all my friends. You spend six years with the same people and now we're all getting sent off to different parts of the country - I'm going to York Hospital – which is a bit sad.

“Since I was little I've wanted to be a doctor and now I am. I couldn't imagine doing anything else.”
