We train healthcare professionals and scientists who go on to tackle some of the most important healthcare challenges in the world - infection and immunity and population health are two of our research specialisms. Entry requirements

  • Undergraduate

    Medicine MBBS, Biomedical Science BSc (Hons)/MSci, Diagnostic Radiography BSc (Hons), and Physiotherapy BSc (Hons): You must complete the Foundation Programme in Medical, Biomedical and Health Sciences or have another qualifying background, such as A Levels or the IB Diploma. We do not accept direct entry from WAEC or NECO onto any of these courses.

  • Postgraduate

    All of our MSc courses require a lower second class degree or above in your Nigerian bachelor’s, or equivalent.

  • English

    As the most common English qualifications in Nigeria, below are the requirements for IELTS and WAEC only. Please see individual course pages for more information.

    • All Medicine MBBS courses, Biomedical Science BSc (Hons), Diagnostic Radiography BSc (Hons), and Physiotherapy BSc (Hons): IELTS 7.0 with at least 7.0 in Writing and Speaking, 6.5 in Reading and Listening; or WAEC SSCE English B3

    • Biomedical Science MRes, Sports Cardiology MSc, Applied Exercise for Health MSc, and Rehabilitation MSc: IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each skill; or WAEC SSCE English C5    

    • MSc Genomic Medicine: Overall 7.0 with 6.5 in Listening, Reading and Speaking. 7.0 in Writing; or WAEC SSCE English C4
