Upgrade and redesign of seven existing modular teaching spaces will be reconfigured to create two flexible teaching spaces. This will create capacity for practical skills teaching such as drug administration, where smaller groups of up to 10 need to work around tables with various instruments rather than around beds. Works will include refurbishment of the walls, ceiling, windows, flooring, electrical power and lighting, new air conditioning systems and additional security access control/CCTV.
Each space will have capacity for 60 students, with the option to sub-divide the space into two capacities of 30 via a partition wall and IT and audio-visual facilities.
The development and improvement to these spaces will allow our students to learn in a modern environment that replicates what they will see in future workplaces.
