St George's and City have merged. Find out more.

St George's has invested in our clinical skills and simulation laboratories located on Level 4, Hunter Wing. We have done this in order to provide excellent facilities for our hands-on, skills-based learning approach and to create capacity for expansion of courses.

The advanced, specialist simulation facilities will replicate scenarios and environments students will encounter in practice, and laboratories for hands-on practice to develop in our learners the competence and confidence they need as they progress to employment, providing excellent healthcare to society.

The updated facility was opened in December 2023.

What we've done

We have updated the clinical cubicles in our simulated hospital wards by:

  • installing new ceiling, lighting, flooring and doors
  • painting walls, window frames and radiators
  • repairing air conditioning units
  • installing a medical wall, glass whiteboards, personal protective equipment (PPE) dispensers and examination lamps
  • added new hospital beds, trolleys, chairs, cubicle privacy curtains and window blinds
  • upgraded the lobby area with a scrub trough, large whiteboard and audio visual equipment.
