Here is a guest appearance featuring an inspiring initiative from St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that celebrates diversity and inclusion within the wider community. The ‘We are PROUD’ LGBTQ+ Staff Network Art Installation is a testament to the Trust's commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for all.

This unique staff portrait exhibition, led by the talented photographer Derek Francis and the network leads, aims to provide visible representation for members of the LGBTQ+ community at St George's. The exhibition features staff members who proudly represent the diverse LGBTQ+ community here, showcasing their various intersections, professions, and roles within the organization.

The installation is more than just an art display; it is a powerful statement of inclusion and community.  The art project features inspiring individuals such as Zee Karame, Noeleen Bennett, Kapildev Doodnaughtsingh, Kealy Hastick, and Emmett. Their stories and portraits serve as a testament to the strength and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community within our university.

We encourage everyone to visit this remarkable installation and be inspired by the stories and contributions of these incredible staff members. Join us in celebrating the vibrant and inclusive community at our university and support our ongoing efforts to create a welcoming environment for all. This vibrant, lenticular  installation is located at St George's, on the Grovesnor (GVN) corridor/hallway, on the blank wall next to the path to St James Wing.

A special thanks to Renee Barrett, Diversity and Inclusion Programme Lead (she/her) and photographer Derek Francis for sharing this update.
