Inclusive assessment and feedback

Advance HE (Higher Education Academy) suggests adopting a social justice approach to assessment, one that builds on inclusivity, the aim is to not only address assessment inequities, but also to support the design of assessment practices and processes that are underpinned by the core principle of respect for individual, economic and cultural difference. Consider how your students can be assessed in a way that encourages them to explore equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Peer observation and review of teaching

Peer observation and review of teaching (PORT) may be a way to work with peers to review your teaching practices with a focus on inclusivness or decoloniality of your teaching.

Report and support

Challenging exclusions is a critical aspect of creating an inclusive learning environment. There is support available within the university for reporting a case of bullying or harassment.
