St George’s, University of London strives to develop the digital capabilities of its staff and students. In 2018/19, this is being done through a project promoting the use of Microsoft Teams.
What is Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams facilitates group work. You can hold discussions with group members from anywhere on any device for meetings, brainstorming and collaboration.
Microsoft Teams is different from other educational learning management systems such as Canvas, with several advantages:
-
all Microsoft applications integrate – email conversations, file storage and more
-
you can add content, exchange feedback and track edits on shared documents
-
it can be used to help catch up on missed discussions and view discussions between other group members.
Once familiar with its features, you can transfer and continue to build on your knowledge for real-world work situations.
