Holiday and examination weeks

Holiday and examination weeks Christmas: 22 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 (2 weeks inclusively). Students return on Monday 5 January 2026.
Easter: 3 April to 12 April 2026 (1 week inclusively). Students return on Monday 23 April 2026.
Examination week Year 1 (placement attendance in optional): to be confirmed.
Examination week Year 2 (students do not attend placement): to be confirmed.

GP

Year 1: Wednesdays from 15 October 2025 to 8 July 2026.
Term 1: Wednesday 15 October to Wednesday 15 December 2025.
Term 2: Wednesday 7 January to Wednesday 1 April 2026.
Term 3: Wednesday 14 April to Wednesday 8 July 2026.
Year 2: 9 weeks full time (Monday to Friday) to each student.

Secondary Care

Monday 8 September 2025 to Friday 24 July 2026.
Full time, Monday to Friday (a recommended attendance of minimum 35 hours per week).
Please note that we do not expect students to attend on Bank Holidays unless they have agreed with their supervisor to remediate any absences.
Year 2: Study days and examination dates – to be confirmed
ILS training – to be confirmed. Your student will confirm which date they will be absent.
