St George's and City have merged. Find out more.

Estates are responsible for maintaining the property and facilities at St George’s. You can read more about the areas they are responsible for here. If you have an issue with the property or facilities in your office (e.g. an issue with heating), email the Estates Helpdesk, describe it, and make sure to include the location of the issue. Please note that they are not responsible for IT/AV equipment —these queries need to be directed to IT Services.

Confidential Waste
Waste that contains confidential information (e.g. personal details) needs to be disposed of in a confidential waste wheelie bin. The bins are kept locked, and confidential waste is to be disposed of by posting paper or plastics through a slot in the lid. Please contact Head of Site Services Trevor McIlree (ext. 30067) for information on disposing of non-shreddable items such as slides.
Electronic Waste

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) has to be disposed of correctly, in accordance with a government directive to reduce the amount of WEEE incinerated or sent to landfill sites. A list of items that are classed as WEEE can be found here.

To dispose of an item, you need to fill out an online WEEE Waste Decontamination Certificate. You will receive an email confirming that the Certificate has been submitted, this needs to be printed and attached to the item for disposal.
