Neuroscience research at City St George's, School of Health & Medical Sciences (Tooting) is interactive and wide-ranging, from the molecular through mathematical modelling and linguistics to surgery and physiotherapy. Clinicians and scientists in the Neurosciences Research Centre work closely with colleagues in the School and St George’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which is the regional neuroscience centre with a catchment area of four million people. The Neurosciences Clinical Academic Group (NCAG) comprises fundamental scientists, neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuroradiologists undertaking research with direct aims to improve treatment and management of patients.

European, UKRI, NIH and charitable funding support our cutting-edge research on the aetiology, diagnosis and/or treatment of cognitive disorders and dementia, motor control and movement disorders, and spinal cord injury, as well as our work on multimodal MRI, which supports these research areas as well as including studies outside of the brain.
