SGUL Library Services User Charter

The Library Services User Charter outlines our service commitments to our user community, and the responsibilities and expectations of our users.

We will

· Treat every user equitably, with dignity and respect.

· Ensure that library resources and the wider library environment are kept to a high standard, with any issues reported and resolved expediently.

· Implement a range of feedback opportunities for library users, involving them in the development and improvement of the library service.

· Use a fair and transparent process for handling complaints and act against inappropriate use of the library space and services.

· Provide a professional and friendly service to support the learning and research needs of our user community.

· Provide reasonable adjustments and accessibility equipment to support specific learning needs.

You will

· Treat library staff and other library users with respect, valuing them as equal members of the library community.

· Respect the library environment, resources, and equipment.

· Engage in opportunities for providing feedback and alert library staff to any problems you encounter with library resources, equipment, and the library space.

· Maintain your library account in good standing and follow regulations for the use of online resources.
