We also offer clinical photography at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton (southwest London) on Wednesday mornings. You will need to make an appointment for those slots as clinics will be running at this time. Please contact our main site (above) for information.
Address: Suite 4, Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton Lane, London SW15 5PN.
If you have a photographic request card signed by your consultant, you don’t need to make an appointment. However, if you require a female photographer or if you are coming from a great distance, it is advisable to have one. If this is the case, please call us on 020 8725 3772.
Consultants may send patients directly to our studio with a completed clinical photography request card. The form has a clear map to help patients find the reception desk.
Alternatively, you may request patient photography by filling in a photographic request form and contacting us directly on 020 8725 3772 or via email. We can attend the ward if necessary.
Please note we do not make prints unless you ask us, but upload the photos to an image database called iBase.
Sessions for staff portraits take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10am to 11am and from 3pm to 4pm, by appointment only. Please call us on extension 3772 to book.
When you arrive, you must have an individually signed staff portrait request form. It is important that the correct budget holder signs this form against the budget code you supply. Our receptionist Donna (x2600) can help if you have questions about this.
We generally produce a print for St George’s Hospital staff portrait boards. Prints measure 14cm by 8.7cm. This service is charged and currently prints cost £6.00 each ex-VAT.
If you require a Don't Take Your Troubles Home (DTYTH) poster
Firstly, you will need your staff portraits taken (see above). You will also need a DTYTH poster authorisation form (see Downloads at the bottom of this page). Please bring all forms with you when you attend your photographic session.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present in appropriate circumstances. The chaperone may be a family member or friend or a member of staff.
We can offer alternative dates and/or same-sex photographers. We always listen to what the patient would prefer.
To ensure the appropriate staff are available, please call us on 020 8725 3772 to arrange an appointment.
As a general rule, modesty is desired unless this obscures any areas specifically requested in the photographs. In our studio we offer gowns and a changing area.
Our photographers have many years’ experience in these situations and adhere to the Professional Code of Conduct of the Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI), our professional body.
We welcome feedback from consultants and patients regarding our services. Please do not hesitate to email any comments to
Robert Harris.
