Promoting your event

Promoting your event can be an extremely important aspect of ensuring  success and a high engagement rate.

Firstly, it is important to establish your target audience; is this internal? external? for prosepctive students? current students? or staff?

Once you have selected your target audience it will be easier to decide what channels your event would be best promoted across. This can be as simple as including the event in an internal newsletter, across social media, or on our website events listing.

Our dedicated Communications team will be able to advise and help support the promotions of any events on St George's channels.

Our Public Engagement Team may also able to assist with advice and support for external engagement.

Communicating your content

Before organising an event it is extremely important to consider what the purpose of the event is, whether this is for community building, education or information sharing this will guide how the event is organised and the content it contains.

If you need support or advice on how to best communicate and fulfill the aims of your event you can contact St George's dedicated communications team for advice
