We are now part of City St George's, University of London. This website contains information relating to our Tooting campus. Please visit our new website to learn more about what we offer across all our campuses.

The two universities have now merged, but work continues to raise awareness of the merger. The information on this page is aimed at helping you create collateral that improves user's understanding of us as a School, and as part of City St George's.

Correct use of colour

This section provides details for correctly navigating colour use when thinking about representing the School, versus representing the University.

When to use the green colour

The colour that represents the School of Health & Medical Sciences is green. The red colour is used to represent the University as a whole.

When to use the red colour

In all instances where we are representing the School as part of the larger University, we use red, as this represents the overarching identity of the University as a whole.

Mixing the colours

The red and green should never be used in combination on a single design. Use only green, or only red.

It is fine for a green School banner to be used alongside a red University banner, when required.

Using black

We can also use black, another of the key colours, which can represent the University either as a whole or at a School level. If you think you may need to use your collateral in multiple situations and are unsure which colour to use, then use black where possible, such as for tablecloths.

When in doubt?

Fall back to the red if you are unsure which colour to use, so long as you don’t intend to use your creation in public areas of the Tooting site.

Use of the new School lockup

It is important that we continue to raise awareness of our merger, to avoid any confusion for people that previously knew us as St George’s, University of London. For that reason, a special ‘lockup’ has been created that explains who we were formerly, and where we are located.

We should use this lockup on all content that meets the criteria above for being designed in green. This lockup will be phased out by the end of the year, as awareness raises and recruitment cycles end.
