I’m not sure what style to write my profile in?

Your profile is your professional presence online, so use full sentences, good grammar and punctuation. Get a colleague to read your profile to double check for any typos or mistakes.

It’s up to you about whether you write in the first or third person, but do ensure that this remains consistent throughout your profile for clarity and consistency.

Remember your staff profile could potentially be somebody’s first impression of you, so you will want to maintain a professional tone throughout your profile. Even if you decide to keep your staff profile as internal facing only, you should still treat it as you would your LinkedIn account, as this profile will be seen by other members of staff and students.
