Telefonica UK Limited (trading as O2) is St George’s preferred mobile phone provider via the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) framework. O2 is the second largest mobile telecommunications provider in the UK, after EE Limited.

How to order a mobile device

New mobile devices and upgrades must be in compliance with St George's, University of London mobile phone and data devices policy (PDF). All end users must have the appropriate authorisation before taking the steps below.

  • All requests for a device from academic institutes must be routed through an institute director or institute manager/head of operations for approval.

  • All requests from administration staff must be approved by either the chief operating officer or the director of Finance or delegated deputy, as per section 3 of the mobile phone and data policy.

Step 1

Select a phone. See the mobile phone pricelist (PDF) for available devices or you can seek advice from either procurement or computer services about your requirements and compatibility with St George’s systems.

Step 2

Select the tariff* most suitable to your requirement. Click for the available voice tariffs (PDF) and the mobile broadband tariff (JPG) (to be used with dongles).

*O2 will provide a credit of £100 for new devices if selecting the ‘No.10 Voice with 2GB Data’ tariff. Please note St George’s has a price cap of £400 that applies to all of these devices. This includes the £100 credit. The prices listed here are excluding VAT and purchase orders are to be raised accordingly, however VAT at the standard rate applies. Please remember to add 20% VAT when calculating the cost of or budgeting for your device.

Step 3

Create a purchase order (PO) against O2 – Telefonica UK Ltd (Agresso supplier ID 106212).

Please remember to include 20% VAT rate to your purchase order for your device (as the prices on the O2 device list excludes VAT).

Note: all new connections receive £100 connection credit.

Step 4

Complete and submit the O2 mobile phone order form.
