About this event

Join us on Monday, 16 December for a chance to meet Vice-President (Education), Professor Juliet John, and hear from her about her role and priorities. This will be followed by a Q&A and a chance to network informally over a tea or coffee.

These events can be attended in person or online via MS Teams, and all staff are welcome to attend.

About Professor Juliet John

Professor Juliet John is responsible for the strategic leadership of all teaching and learning activities. This includes leading in developing the educational experience and wider engagement of students to ensure a first-class student experience for our diverse student community.

Professor Juliet John (FRSA, FEA) joined City as the Dean of Arts & Social Sciences in September 2020, a role she held until the end of 2021. She was previously Hildred Carlile Chair of English Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2012-20, where she held various leadership roles over this time, including the inaugural Headship of the School of Humanities (comprised of the Departments of English, History, Classics, and Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures), Head of English, and Faculty Associate Dean Education.
