Our scholarships and bursaries are a vital way to allow all students an equal opportunity to thrive at St George’s, whatever their background, specialism or area of interest. They allow our students the chance to gain valuable experience outside the classroom and develop their knowledge both within, and outside of, their course subject.
We are currently developing our approach to offering scholarships and bursaries. To find out more, please contact the Development & Alumni Relations Office on 0208 266 6195 or email giving@sgul.ac.uk.

About the scholarship
The Ravi Ray Scholarship in Undergraduate Medicine helps alleviate financial concerns for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate outstanding potential to make a difference in the world. Each year, the scholarship will provide funding towards one Medicine scholar’s tuition fees or living costs for the final three years of their programme.
The selected scholar will receive £3,000 annually towards tuition fees for Years 3, 4 and towards living costs for Year 5 (or an intercalated year) of their degree.
Selection process
We do not accept applications for this scholarship. Each year a panel of staff select a scholar by identifying the highest scoring second year students and selecting the individual with the greatest level of financial need.
