Your views, your NSS!

Fill in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2024 before 30 April.

Look out for St George's NSS 2024 campaign between 1 February and 31 March*.

The National Student Survey (NSS) is a survey of all final year undergraduates in the UK and it gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses.

The survey is conducted by Ipsos MORI, an independent research agency. It is commissioned by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Delivered between February and April each year, the survey gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses, including learning resources, organisation, student voice. This helps to:

  • inform prospective students’ choices
  • provide data that guides institutions’ actions to improve student experience
  • support public accountability.

St George's final year undergraduate students will be  invited to complete the NSS on the 1 February 2024. The survey will close on the 30 April 2024. All students completing the NSS 2024 also get a chance to win one of 19 Love2Shop vouchers on offer. These range from £25 to £200 each!

*St George's runs a focused survey period between 1 February and 31 March but, nationally, the NSS starts on 8 January and closes on 30 April.

It is important that eligible students can complete the survey without being influenced in any way. If you have any concerns about this, please contact Dr Marcus Jackson, Associate Dean for Student Experience or the Student Union in the first instance.

As outlined in St George's Privacy Notice for Students and because the survey is a task carried out in the public interest, your contact details will be transferred to Ipsos MORI for the purpose of the NSS only. All the data are held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. All your responses will remain strictly anonymous and at no point will you be identified. All information will be securely deleted by Ipsos MORI after the survey closes and will not be shared with any third parties. More information is available on the NSS website.

See the NSS core questionnaire (PDF) or go to Discover Uni  to see results from the survey by course.
