Our annual Telephone Fundraising Campaign, run by the Development and Alumni team, kicks off today.
Over the next three weeks, a team of St George's students will be speaking with our alumni to update them on what’s going on across the University, as well as telling them how our team can help them stay connected to the university.
Our campaigns also raise money for vital student causes thanks to the generous support of our alumni.
Helping our students navigate the cost-of-living crisis
This year, we are focusing our fundraising efforts on raising money for our Hardship Fund to support students through the cost-of-living crisis, as well as raising money for our Annual Fund which provides flexible support where it is most needed across St George’s. Money raised through this year’s campaign could support a range of priority projects including a Food Bank to help students access essential items.
First year Biomedical Science student, Keerthi Kurapati, will be joining the campaign team this year and looks forward to her conversations with our alumni over the next three weeks.
Speaking about what attracted her to the role of Student Caller, she says:
“I thought this role would be a great way of fundraising for student causes while connecting with St George’s alumni. What I’m most looking forward to is hearing the unique stories, experiences, and journeys of the alumni I speak to.”
