Support available to you

If you have been affected by the news or need support at this (or any) time, there are a range of services available through St George’s for our students and staff that are there to help, as well as support from other organisations.

For students

St George's students in need of support can:

• arrange an appointment with the Counselling Service by emailing counselling@sgul.ac.uk
• contact the Students’ Union 
• approach your Personal Tutor or a trusted member of staff
• use one of the online platforms developed to support students with their mental health e.g. Togetherall and Student Minds.
• access wellbeing support specifically targeted at students during Covid-19 via webchat, text, email or phone support from 4pm to11pm at studentspace.org.uk.

For staff

St George's staff in need of support can:

• arrange an appointment with the Counselling Service by emailing counselling@sgul.ac.uk
• contact the Confidential Care Employee Assistance Programme.

Other organisations that can help

There are also a range of services available beyond the University including:

• Women’s Aid   
• Women and Girls Network    
• Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre London   
• Samaritans    
• Shout .

Also be aware that if you are ever feeling unsafe, you can ask for ‘Angela’ in venues across London as a discrete way to ask staff for help.
