The Complete University Guide's 2025 rankings have seen St George’s, University of London rise 9 places, up to 69th from 78th in 2024. Meanwhile, City, University of London, with whom St George’s will be merging, rose three places from 42nd to 39th.

St George’s ascension up the league table makes them one of the Complete University Guide’s highest climbers, with just five universities having risen by more places.

The Complete University Guide, a division of IDP Education, releases an annual league table for both UK universities and the subjects which they offer. With over ten million annual visitors to the Complete University Guide’s website, the league tables provide prospective students with key information on which to base decisions regarding their future higher education provider.

The Guide’s main league table is based on ten metrics, including entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality and intensity, graduate prospects, and overall spending on student facilities.

St George’s excelled in a number of categories in addition to the rise in the overall league table. The University ranks third overall in the UK for graduate prospects – outcomes with 92.4%, as well as 85.8% in graduate prospects – on track, which was enough to secure second place nationwide. St George’s also saw a rise of six places in the student satisfaction metric.
