Dr Axel Nohturfft is a Senior Lecturer at St. George's University of London with a PhD in biochemistry. He teaches a variety of subjects (cell and molecular biology, bioinformatics, scientific writing) and supervises student research projects. Dr Nohturfft is the course director for the MSc Applied Biomedical Science programme, Postgraduate Taught Programmes Careers Lead, module organiser on Applied Biomedical Science and MPharm, and co-lead for the BSc Biomedical Science Personal Training Year (PTY) programme. His research interests revolve around the regulation of cholesterol homeostasis and organelle biogenesis.
