Dr Cottee has roles in clinical practice, undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He is a consultant geriatrician at St George’ s with responsibility for inpatients and community based services.
At SGUL he is responsible for the teaching of Ageing and Geriatric Medicine. This includes early years clinical experience in years 1&2 MBBS5, ageing lecture series in semester 4 MBBS5, ageing year 1 MBBS4. Geriatric Medicine clinical attachment P year MBBS. He is presently the chair of the MBBS Board of Examiners.
Dr Cottee is deputy director of South Thames Foundation School which is responsible for over 1600 foundation doctors in South East England. He is also program director for higher specialty training in Geriatric Medicine for South West London and overall lead for London.
