Research Day was held on 3 December 2019. The day was a celebration of research excellence at St George’s. Research Day included oral and poster presentations and culminated with the Thomas Young Prize Lecture which was delivered by Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed.

Posters should be in A0 portrait, and must fit the 2 metre high x 1 metre wide boards ordered for Research Day. Media Services also have a handy guide on how to create posters and get them printed.
Posters previously submitted to external meetings are acceptable.
Poster prizes will be awarded at the close of the afternoon session:

To recognise the excellent activity being carried out across the organisation, we will be awarding prizes to St George’s university staff and students under the following categories.
All applications should be sent to Louise Phillips, Head of Research Funding by 21 October for consideration by the panel.
Award holders will be notified in advance of Research Day and will be asked to give a 10 minute presentation as part of the award ceremony.
Applications for this award can be self-nominations or nominations from a mentor or colleague. The published paper should represent top-quality science likely to generate impact in its research field. Candidates must be first author or corresponding author and submit a copy of the paper with an explanation of no more than 150 words as to why this paper is a landmark.
