Outstanding Research Publication

• 2019: Dr Yingfen Hsia for her global study on antibiotic use and classification

Postdoctoral Research Scientist Award

• 2019: Dr Sebastian Fuller for his social science work on bridging the gap from development to implementation for products that show promise for clinical improvement.

Excellence in Public/Civic Engagement in Research

• 2019: Professor Nan Greenwoodfor her work into investigating the research priorities of older, informal carers. 

Outstanding Research Achievement by a University Lecturer

• 

  2019: Dr Sally Hargreaves in recognition of her work into improving the health of migrants.

Outstanding research achievement by a University Senior Lecturer

• 2019: Dr Iain Carey for his work using primary care databases across a variety of projects. Working with researchers from multiple St George’s institutes, Dr Carey’s research has covered different research areas such as diabetes and air pollution.

• 2019 Chrissie Fenske Research Poster prize for the best poster : Dr Alamin Muhammed for his submission entitled "Developing glutamate and glutamine sensors."
• 2019 Undergraduate Poster Prize: Hafssa Anfishi with her submission entitled 'Investigating effectiveness of wild type and optimised codon Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator transport in Cystic Fibrosis mutations'. 
• 2019 MRes poster prize: Amini Fahimah for her submission entitled "Investigating the use of dried blood spots in the measurement of antibodies against Bordetella pertussis virulence factors."
• 2019 Postgraduate prize : Gideon Pomeranz for his submission entitled "Diabetic kidney disease: using zebrafish as a model."
