We host an International Welcome Programme for new international students joining St George’s in September every year. The programme is designed to help you settle in to the university and to life in the UK.
The International Welcome Programme is an excellent opportunity for you to:

familiarise yourself with the campus before the lectures start

get essential practical information about living in the UK, including how to open a bank account and register with a GP

find out about the wide range of support services we have at the university
-
meet staff and students in an informal setting
-
ask lots of questions

make friends
The programme also includes various social events which we host with current members of the International Student Society committee. Past social events have included a boat tour of London and a ‘meet your buddy’ lunch. The programme will be sent to students nearer the time.
Postgraduate research students will be invited to a separate induction programme organised by the postgraduate team.
