The below information is to provide you with a bit more information about your application to St George's, and what to expect through the admissions process.

Communication from St Georges, University of London regarding your application will be via email; please ensure you are able to receive emails from @sgul.ac.uk email addresses.We will mainly contact you from admissions@sgul.ac.uk and interviews@sgul.ac.uk. You may also receive emails from other @sgul.ac.uk email addresses, so please ensure you are checking your junk and spam folders regularly. Please update UCAS as soon as possible with any changes in contact details.
We strongly advise that you do not use a school email address that will be discontinued after you finish your exams as St George’s requires to be able to contact you on this address until you are enrolled.

MBBS courses (A100 & A101): 15 October 2024 All other UCAS courses: 29 January 2025
You have the option to cancel your application within 14 days of the date on your official welcome email from UCAS. You also have the option to substitute your course choices in UCAS Track within 7 days of your application being submitted.
For the MBBS courses (A100 & A101) you have until 31 October 2024 to send in any additional informationand for all other undergraduate courses you have until 9 February 2025.
Please note that your application will be assessed on the information that we have at the time of assessment and there is no guarantee any additional information that you provide will be considered. If you fail to provide the relevant information to allow adequate assessment, your application will be unsuccessful.
We define extenuating circumstances as unforeseen and outside of an applicant’s control. The
circumstances must demonstrate that there has been a substantial, serious impact on your academic studies and results. These could be related to health, personal challenges or disability. We are unable to consider extenuating circumstances in relation to UCAT or GAMSAT scores, or interview performance.
A successful extenuating circumstances application will not result in us accepting applicants who have notmet our minimum entry requirements. Instead, applicants who have re-sat or extended the length of theirqualifications (or we advise to do so) will be permitted to apply for their chosen course. For this reason, weonly accept extenuating circumstances applications for our A100 Medicine (5-year) programme. This isbecause other courses consider applicants who are re-sitting, or have re-sat, their Level 3 qualifications.

Most interviews will be held at St George's, in Tooting, London.
Interviews usually run from November 2024 – April 2025. Some courses may interview up until May 2025.
We generally release interview dates on a rolling basis. If you are invited to an interview, please only bookonto the interview if you are sure you can attend that date. We run interviews across several weeks andmonths, so it’s worth checking back to the booking site regularly for a date you will be able to attend.
If you are unable to attend any of the possible dates available, you may have to re-apply the following year.Please contact Admissions at admissions@sgul.ac.uk if you are unable to attend the dates listed.
Assessment of applications will take place between November 2024 and May 2025. You will be notified of the outcome at any stage during this assessment period, so please do not worry if you do not hear from us for a few months. We receive a large number of applications, and ensuring all applications are assessed accurately can take some time.
For courses that do not interview, we aim to notify applicants of the outcome within 8-12 weeks of receiving their application. For courses that do interview, we aim to notify applicants of the outcome within 8-12 weeks of their interview.
You will normally be offered a conditional place which means you will need to meet academic and non-academic conditions before your place is confirmed. If you meet all of the conditions of your offer, you will be issued with an unconditional offer.
An unsuccessful application means that we have decided not to offer you a place on this occasion, but you should not be discouraged from re-applying in another year. If your application is unsuccessful you will be provided with general feedback via UCAS Hub.
You can request to change your entry year for a one year at any point before an offer is made. If you arerequesting to defer after an offer has been made then this will be considered on an individual basis, andthere is no guarantee that this will be granted.
We know that not everyone starts life with the same opportunities and so we use additional information, including school performance data and socio-economic markers, to review the context within which applicants achieved their qualifications.

If you apply for one of our Contextual Admissions courses, you will be asked to complete a declaration after you have submitted your UCAS application. This information, with additional information on your UCAS application will determine if you are eligible for one of our Contextual Admissions schemes.
It's important that you complete your Contextual Admissions declaration. If you would be eligible for one of our Contextual Admissions schemes but do not complete the declaration, you will not receive any additional support.
Due to the ongoing challenges associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, we have relaxed our work experience requirements for 2025 entry. Despite this, we still require our applicants to have an understanding of the realities of working as a healthcare professional, and to show they have necessary skills and attributes for their chosen career. Yes, if you have not taken the correct aptitude test before you have applied your application will beunsuccessful. We require the UCAT for the A100 and BB96 courses, and the GAMSAT for the A101 course.
Results from your aptitude test will be used alongside your academic criteria to assess your application. Wewill release the overall cut-off scores in the new year once interview invitations have been sent out. See our previous years’ cut-off scores.
Please email our Admissions team on admissions@sgul.ac.uk with this information, and include both names you have used for your exam and your UCAS application. If your names on your UCAT/GAMSAT registration and your UCAS form are not identical, your results will not be matched with your UCAS application, and we will not receive them.
You can apply with a GAMSAT score from GAMSAT sittings between March 2023 and September 2024. Please make ACER aware that they can share previous scores with us.
We will only be able to accept details of previous test scores directly from GAMSAT. Please note, we do notaccept previous test scores for the UCAT, this will need to have been sat in the year of application.
