On 1 August 2024 St George's, University of London, officially and legally merged with City, University of London, to become City St George's, University of London. Read about our merger.
Our new name
We are now City St George's, University of London.
The previous St George's, University of London, is now referred to the Tooting campus.
The programmes taught on the Tooting campus are part of the St George's School of Health and Medical Sciences.
In 2025, the School of Health and Psychological Sciences on the Clerkenwell campus (previously City) will join us to become a unified School of Health and Medical Sciences, spanning more than one campus and offering a wide breadth of health education.
Our new brand
The left section of this image shows the St George's, University of London branding, and the right section shows the updated City St George's branding for the St George's School of Health and Medical Sciences.
The Tooting campus will use the green from the previous St George's colour palette. This colour was chosen as it represents the colour of scrubs worn by many healthcare professionals. The same green will be the school colour for the School of Health and Medical Sciences. City St George's will also use the red seen in the new logo.
Our new ID cards
2024 enrollers will be the first to use our new designed ID cards. ID cards must be worn whilst on campus.
Our new Student Union
The left section of this image shows the St George's Students' Union branding, and the right section shows the updated City St George's Students' Union branding.
City Students’ Union and St George’s Students’ Union have also merged, to form City St George’s Students’ Union, and have launched a new website.
Timeline
Changing the branding on everything will take time. That means that for some time, you will see both the St George’s and the City St George’s logos around the campus, but eventually, everything will be moved over to the new City St George’s branding.
We are adopting our new brand internally first, before using it externally from March 2025.
How to find out more
We have a brand section of the website with information primarily for staff which includes information about how the City St George's brand will be used in the coming months.
If you have any questions please email brand@sgul.ac.uk.
