The procedures contained in the quality manual are the means by which St George’s, University of London assures the quality and standards of the awards it confers. It is intended primarily for academic and professional support staff with day-to-day responsibilities for delivering programmes of study.

The quality manual also sets out the procedures that we use to develop new programmes. It also explains how we consider proposals from external providers of higher education (from within the UK and internationally) to work with us in the design and delivery of new programmes. As such, it has a relevance beyond St George’s.

The quality manual is reissued annually.

The manual, which came into effect on 1 September 2024, was prepared by the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Committee and approved by Senate. The procedures described in the Manual apply to all programmes that lead to University of London or St George’s awards.
